Contest:

Create a brief public service announcement designed to prevent alcohol abuse and alcohol related consequences among Coastal Carolina University students.

Eligibility:

Any currently enrolled Coastal Carolina University student may enter.

Judging:

A panel of faculty, Coastal Carolina University staff, Concernity.com staff, and students will judge video entries and feature the top 3 videos on ConcernityU.com.

Contest Guidelines and Procedures:

1. The video should be designed to prevent alcohol abuse or alcohol related consequences among Coastal Carolina University students.

2. Students can go to http://www.concernityu.com/coastal/upload to submit videos. All videos must be submitted online by October 10, 2008. Videos may be submitted after that date but will not be eligible for the contest.

3. Students may work individually or in groups to create their video. A lead project student must be specified to whom prizes may be delivered.

4. Students may use live video feed or still images to create their video.

5. Videos should be 30-90 seconds in length.

6. The use of appropriate language and behavior during the video is required. Any inappropriate material will result in the disqualification of the video from the contest.

7. All sources of information must be cited on the video, preferably at the end or on video.

8. Multiple music clips may be added to the video, but only 30 seconds or 10 percent of one song can be used. Using more than 30 seconds of one song is a violation of copyright laws.

9. If copyrighted images are used in the video, the video must be accompanied by written permissions to utilize those images.

10. While the videographer retains ownership and copyright of the video, entry of a video gives Concernity.com the right to reproduce and display the video and stills from the video for promotional and educational purpose.

11. All individuals appearing in the video must sign a permission form to allow their images to be placed on Concernity.com. The form is available at: Appearance Release Form

12. As an entrant, you agree that your participation in this contest is voluntary and that you agree to hold Concernity, its affiliates and employees harmless from any claims, monetary or otherwise, that may arise from your participation.
